American Revolution Party Theme

Show your patriotism and relive history by hosting an American Revolution theme party!

Send invitations with important American figures, like George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. Attach mini flags to inspire patriotism.

Take guests back to colonial times by replacing modern furniture with antique furniture and lamps. Hang an antique chandelier in the center of the room.  Give the room a festive feel with red, white, and blue streamers and balloons. Be sure to hang an American flag outside and salute it as you walk in. Cover walls in authentic looking backdrops and rent a stone bench or statues. Print a copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Consitution on brown parchment paper and tear the edges for an authentic look. Display the documents throughout the party.

Encourage guests to participate by dressing the part with revolutionary period costumes, wigs, and makeup. Costume ideas include George and Martha Washington or any one of the nation's founding fathers.

Sip Sebastiani wine or Champagne, and a delicious feast of roast beef, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, and salads. Dress the tables in white linens with red roses in crystal vases as the centerpieces.  Serve an American flag cake for dessert with ice cream.  Purchase American flag dinner plates, cups, bowls, and napkins at a party store. 

Play classical music and dance the waltz. Hire a photographer to take black and white photographs of everyone for party favors. American flags as make great party favors.
