Caveman Party Theme
To throw the perfect caveman party, you will need to look the part. Caveman or Flinstones costumes and accessories are available at a costume store or online. You can also fashion your own out of loincloths, fake fur, tattered suede cloth, and animal-print fabrics. Complete the look with unkempt hair, and bare feet. Don't forget your weapons: a caveman club and spears!
Transform your party area into a prehistoric cave by covering the walls and ceiling with brown butcher paper and clearing out the furniture. Instead, sit on the ground on brown bean bag chairs. Enhance your cave by drawing prehistoric art or covering it with hand prints. Animal cutouts or large stuffed animals, foam rocks, a fake fur rug, and plenty of plants add to scene. Scatter leaves and fake bones on the floor for an authentic touch. Use grey or brown balloons and streamers as decorations. Create a fake fire pit with foam rocks or host your party outside and enjoy the warmth of a real fire.
Create prehistoric wrapping paper with a brown paper bag leaves. Stuffed pteradactyls and bone necklaces makes the perfect party favors for fellow cavemen!
Entertain guests with a theme-appropriate movie, such as "The Flintstones." Guests can compete in a prehistoric trivia game, too. Keep younger guests busy decorating pet rocks with paint or having a slingshot contest. Bring out the drums, tambourines, and rainsticks to create your own musical enterntainment.
Feed hungry cavemen with shish-kabobs, roasted marshmallows, Cornish game hens, trail mix, cheese and crackers, beef and vegetables, fruits, turkey legs, hard-boiled eggs, or beef jerky. Try to serve foods that can be enjoyed with one's hands and wash it down with Sebastiani wine.
