Gilligan's Island Party Theme
For an island setting, place real and artificial plants throughout the room. Include inflatable palm trees, coconuts, mangos, and pineapples. Set up a hammock, radio, old wrecked boat called the SS Minnow, and tiki torches. Hang "Gilligan's Island" posters to inspire nostalgia.
Have each guest dress as a character from the show, and host a look-alikes contest among guests to see who most resembles "Gilligan's Island" characters. The characters of the show were Gilligan, the Skipper, Thursten J. Howell III, Eunice "Lovey" Wentworth Howell, Ginger Grant, The Professor, and Mary Ann Summers.
Screen episodes of "Gilligan's Island" or play a trivia game. For a wild night, play the "Gilligan's Island" theme song, "The Ballad of Gilligan's Isle" and limbo!
Serve pork, duck or fish with vegetables and fruits and coconut cream pie for dessert.
