Movie Star Look-Alikes Party Theme
Make movie ticket invitations or purchase movie reels invitations online or at a party store. Another idea is to make or purchase VIP passes as invitations that guests must wear to get in.
Use a director’s chair, movie reels, clapboards, and studio lamps to turn your home into the set of a movie. Roll out the red carpet and have a photographer or friend play paparazzi. Hang movie posters throughout the room. Place cardboard cutouts of movie stars on the red carpet for great photo ops. Scatter cutouts of stars on the floor with names of guests or movie stars.
Dress like well-known actors and their characters from the past and present. Examples: Al Pacino, Bruce Lee, John Travolta, Sean Connery, Steve Martin, Tom Cruise, William Shatner, Marilyn Monroe, Will Smith, Clint Eastwood, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Jim Carrey, etc.
Hire movie star impersonators to entertain the crowd. Have Oscar trophies made and hand them out as prizes for best costumes or a movie trivia game like Scene It. Ask guests for their favorite movies and play one or two of them in a separate room with a big screen and chairs. Serve popcorn, candy and pop as snacks during the movie.
Serve champagne in glass flutes and caviar. Movie theme plates, napkins, cups, table skirts, and table covers can be purchased online or at a party store. Decorate with tinsel garlands and confetti on each table for added sparkle.
