The Hitman Blues Band is an international touring group performing many styles of music.
When playing festivals, they showcase songs from their three (soon to be four) releases, mainly original blues and rock/blues.
For all other events, they draw on repertoire of over 450 rock, funk, reggae, blues, soul, classic rock and oldies songs.
They also cover over 300 "standard" songs, popularly known now as the Great American Songbook genre. This includes Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, the Gershwin Brothers, Rogers & Hart (and Rogers & Hammerstein), and many other favorites that have been rediscovered in recent years.
The band goes out in different configurations, depending on the event. Size can range from a solo player to as many as twelve pieces. The usual size is a quartet, comprised of guitar, keyboards, bass and drums. Popular additions are sax, female vocalist, trumpet, trombone and percussionist.
